Venn Street , Clapham, c. 1915
Venn Street, off Clapham High Street, was built over the network of alleyways and courts that made up the original Clapham Rectory Estate at the end of the 19th century, replacing many of the original Venn cottages with Victorian terraces and shops of the sort seen here.
Further changes were carried out in Edwardian times with the construction of the Postman's Office in 1902 and the Electric Palace Cinema in 1910.
